Lee Fretwell – Managing Director
Lee co-founded the company in 2018, bringing nearly 40 years of expertise in laboratory extraction and chemical handling. His projects range from small prep rooms in schools to large multi-lab installations with complex LEV systems. Lee particularly enjoys training users and demonstrating how small changes can significantly improve extraction.
Passions: Family, dog walks, travel, and skiing.
Tim Smith – Director
Tim started as an apprentice plumber before specialising in laboratory plumbing and fume cupboard installations in the 1980s. He later co-founded Regal Fans and developed further expertise in laboratory furniture and ventilation. His background provides invaluable technical insight for the company.
Passions: Restoring and riding classic motorcycles, especially his Suzuki GT750.
Steve Hubble – Director
Steve has worked in the fume cupboard industry since 1985. His career includes designing the Isoflow range of fume cupboards and delivering projects for the MOD, HPA, and UKAEA. A highlight was managing an installation of 48 fume cupboards with complex extraction systems.
Passions: Motorcycling, cycling, Chelsea FC, and pasta-making.
Paul Robinson – Admin & Digital
Paul joined in 2022 with two decades of experience in manufacturing, hospitality, and laboratory furniture. He manages administration, IT, sales, and digital marketing for the company.
Passions: Road and CX cycling, photography, and fundraising for Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice
Freddie Waters – Installations
Freddie’s career includes work in interior fitouts, logistics, and construction. His strong attention to detail and professionalism make him a valuable part of the installations team.
Passions: Rugby at Braintree RFC and fishing.
David Scott – Installations
David served 12 years as an Army infantry soldier before moving into construction and sports equipment installation. He now applies his skills to fume cupboard and LEV installations across the UK.
Passions: Coaching youth football at Layer Colts FC and outdoor activities.
